Getting something "extra" is fabulous - but, how do you use it?
Paije grabs our attention, on her page above, by using the 3x3 Quarter Round Die, (an "extra" included with the 4x5 Horizon Die Set) to soften the center of this mostly squares pattern. Cutting the center photo into rounded quarters adds contrast to the design and it makes the finished circular shape more engaging.
Try rounding out your next scrapbook page by including contrasting shapes.

Twine (shown above) is a beautiful neutral color from the Nantucket Collection that goes with a variety of photos!
It's perfect for these zoo pictures. The speckles throughout the Twine grid paper give this layout interest and the "flat" card-stock paper doesn't look too boring on top!
All of the colors in the Nantucket Collection including Twine, Beachgrass, Ferry Ride, Red Tides, Reflection, and Sea Glass have "speckles". The speckles help add texture to your pages.
Is there another way to use the "extra" die in the Horizon Die Set?
The same circle design (first shown at the top of this newsletter) can be applied with the 2x2 quarter size from the Horizon die set. Instead of filling in the circle portion with one photo - you can fill it in with four different photos! How cool is that?
With the Horizon Die "extras", you can fit in even more photos!
