Here are three ideas you can use to make your home town pages pop:
Get distant shots to show off unique landscapes and buildings.
Blend together some foliage photos with the Brick Die (as shown at the top of this layout).
Use a pattern paper that reflects the personality of your town.

Everyone has a garden in their town and we've discovered that garden photos look gorgeous on 12x12 Robin's Egg Grid Paper from the Dockside Collection.
Page Notes: Jodi filled her perfect Spot circles with photos of garden signs, accessories, and people. She used the rest of the design space to highlight the flowers, making them the stars of her layout.

For Paije's June 2021 layout, she chose to add her journaling with handwriting on the arrow and mini banner die cuts. This super cute idea is an "off the grid" way to add journal notes to your photos.
