MOSAIC MOMENTS® PRESENTS:
"Fall at Monticello" by Paije Potter - Pattern #592
Hello
Perhaps the most helpful component of the Mosaic Moments System is the plethora of page patterns. Currently there are more than 500 free-to-use patterns online, and new ones are added each month. Built into the patterns are the basics of graphic design, which makes the finished product pleasing to the eye. Simultaneously, these patterns have plenty of room for creative expression. In fact, two layouts using the same pattern rarely look
similar.
For example, look at the center photo in the layout above. Paije used a photo mat, but she could have cut the photo to fit the space and put it directly on the grid paper. Or, she could have used a frame die to surround the photo or even placed a journaling block there. The possibilities really are endless.
To learn how to select the right pattern for your photos, click the blue box below. And, scroll down for three more layouts.
Notice how there are three strips, or columns, in this layout. You could draw three lines right down the layout without touching any elements. That is the feature of column page patterns. They work well with vertical and square photos. Click the blue box below to learn more.

"Chickens Love Fall" by Candy Spiegel - Pattern #520
Pinwheel patterns are like spinners around a center point. Notice how the elements take your eye around the heart in the center of the layout above. Pinwheels offer a lighter, less formal look to the page. Since they have space for both horizontal and vertical photos, they are a favorite pattern. Click the blue box for more pinwheels.
Symmetrical patterns are also extremely pleasing to the eye. Similar to a mirror image, everything on each side of the layout is the same size. So, in the layout above, each side of the layout features a leaf border, two numbers, pattern paper cut into 1-inch squares and a matted photo. Symmetrical patterns allow for virtually anything, as long as it's balanced with a counterpart on the opposite
side. Click the blue box to learn more.
