Today is March 14 or 3.14, in European shorthand. And, since 3.14 is that special mathematical number known as Pi, we're celebrating with a special discount on the Pie Die Set! Check out the savings, and some great examples, below.
When you do not have enough pictures to fill all 12 slices of pie,
substitute patterned paper for some of the photos. It's the perfect way to reinforce your theme.
You can also add to the design with stickers or die cuts, like on
this layout. How cute is this!
The Pie Die is great when you have a lot of photos, like at a
birthday party, baby shower or Christmas, when you take photos of opening every present. A little themed paper in the corners really sets it off.
Mixing up the Pie Die outlines -- placing the flat edges on the
outside of the Grid rather than the rounded sides -- gives you an entirely new effect. It reminds us of a kaleidoscope. It's beautiful here with pictures of flowers and gardens. Imagine it with Christmas lights, a day at the beach, or mountain landscapes. Amazing!
By using the same color paper to cut the outlines as your Grid
Paper, you can make the "crust" of the pie vanish. (Tip: the backside of the Grid Paper is gridless so you can use it for die cutting and it will match perfectly.) Using the same color paper for the outlines and the background allows you to push a slice of pie outside of the circle. It is an incredible effect.
