You have experience with the Mosaic Moments® system and feel confident in your skills. You also don't mind taking a little more time to plan and put your pages together - you are going to love what you can do with Level 3 - Adventure dies.
Of course, we suggest you read all three sections because the ideas are simply phenomenal.
Our first level is for those who are exploring the system. Here, we explain the tools you need to get started, as well as those you will want to make fabulous Mosaic Moments® layouts.
Explore with the Basic Bundles
First, you need the Basic Die Bundle. This collection includes squares and rectangles in all of the different sizes commonly used on the Grid. Yes, it is an investment, but you will use this set on nearly every layout you ever make on Grid Paper. And, you
can make a plethora of pages using only this set, and never get bored. It's part of the Mosaic Magic.
A few answers to your questions:
Yes, there are two sets of Basic Die Bundles.
One is Made in the USA and features durable hard steel that is coated with a special silver paint - like a teflon coating. The dies must be snipped apart, so you will want to grab flush cutters, as well. We believe this set will last longer, but we have yet to wear out any of our dies. This set does NOT come with the 1" Grid MM Die, (used to cut a 4x6 photo into 1-inch squares). The USA made die sets are also available individually, so you can buy ala carte if you wish.
The second set is colored to match the Page Patterns and made in China. Sold only as a bundle, it is significantly less expensive than the USA bundled set. It cuts well and we use them daily without issues. The China made set not only costs
less, it also comes with the 1" Grid MM Die; so, you will be ready to cut any size you need.
In the end, it's a matter of personal preference and budget; but, you only need one basic bundle (Made in USA or Made in China), not both.
Layouts with Basic Dies:
Both Basic Die Bundles come with nesting dies, so you can easily make photo mats for your pictures.
With a variety of sizes in the Basic Die Bundle, you have hundreds of options of designs. And, you can whip out a page this fabulous in just a few minutes.
The colored set, made in China, comes with the die to cut your photos into 1-inch squares to create beautiful Mosaic Magic. Note: If you decide on the Made in the USA set, you will need to add this die to your purchase.
Some of the sets, like the Numbers 4 Set shown above, can be used with or without the 1" frame. So, you can place them on 1" squares, like the layout above, or you can create long words on blocks or strips of cardstock.
Now it's time to add some variety to your pages with a frame set or two. These sets come in ovals, circles, and arches and are a great way to create interest and focal points on your layouts.
Now you are ready to add some fun and personality to your designs with decorative dies. These are generally the least-expensive dies and often feature seasonal, graphic or themed designs.

Create a Panoramic
A favorite technique, strip dies allow you create faux panoramic pictures simply by lining up the horizons in each photo and cutting them into 1" strips. This Mosaic Magic is great for landscapes, but it's also fun for pictures in the water or snow, where the subjects are far away. You can combine multiple photos of your kids sledding, for example, and make it look like one giant
photo.
With this group of dies, you can cut a few corners, allowing you to get more photos on a page. You can also use these dies to create some unique shapes on your layouts, like the one above.
We love working on the Grid, but we enjoy round shapes, as well. The Horizon Dies allow you to create giant circles out a variety of sizes of photos, depending on which dies in the collection you choose to use. These are fun for any theme, but consider playing up the circle by turning it into a beach ball, basketball, soccer ball, the moon, baseball, bowling ball, a Christmas ornament ... ooh,
there are so many possibilities.
Our Adventure (Level 3) Dies feature absolutely amazing layouts that will convince your friends and family that you are definitely Queen or King of the Scrapbook.
In order to achieve these fantastic looks, you will need to spend a bit more time planning and a bit more time putting your pages together. For some looks, the design process could begin while you are taking your photos; however, you can also use whatever images you have on hand.

Create Amazing Scenery
Special trips deserve special treatment and the X-Factor Collection is designed for them. This collection connects your images with lines and "X's" across you layout. The set allows you to connect an image over multiple spaces, making your photos really stand out. This set comes with several dies that cut out inset pieces, which saves you time and paper!
With the Diamond Mine Collection, you can create beautiful diamond borders around your page. This set is a must for baseball lovers, but it's also fun to use with great detail shots, like the flowers shown above.
