We love making circles with our Mosaic Moments Grid Paper. You may already have (and love) the Horizon Set. But, we have additional options with the Soleil Set! Soleil, in case you were curious, means "sun." But we can use it to create anything round. So, what's the difference between the Horizon and Soleil sets? Do you need both? Scroll down to find out.
The Soleil Set allows you to make a large circle on your 12x12 Grid Paper without the circle reaching the corners of the page (Horizon dies reach into that space). So, you can place a 2x2 die or photo in each corner of your layout. It also allows you to customize the center of your circle in whatever way you choose, since the die cuts only the outer pieces of the circle. Paije added four
photos to her center in the page above.
SnapFixTip: Choosing the perfect color of Grid Paper can be challenging. For Halloween layouts, reach beyond the typical orange and black and use purple, bright yellow and green, like Paije did in the layout above. It's spooktacular!

This page pattern, No. 392, is all made up of squares. However, Jodi substituted the pieces of the Soliel Set for some of the squares. This turned her entirely square page into a rather round one! This is a great tip to keep in mind ... and it is what makes Mosaic Moments special. All of the dies fit the Grid, therefore, they can be intermixed for entirely new designs.
SnapFix Tip: Take extra photos of something on your journey, like Jodi did with the pumpkins above. Use those around the inside of your circle for a unique spin.
In this week's blog post, Andrea adds a delicate touch to her Soleil circle using bits of a flower die. Check out how she accomplished this by clicking the blue box below.
