A quatrefoil is a classical pattern in architecture, art and design that has been around for centuries, but never goes out of style. Latin for "four leaves," the shape works beautifully in Mosaic Moments designs, adding a touch of elegance or femininity and helping to soften the strong, straight lines. Just look at some of the amazing layouts our team created using quatrefoils. (And, check out the
secret announcement below ...)
Grid Paper: NEW Alpine Fir (Available This Friday)
Create a Giant Quatrefoil
When you need a large quatrefoil for your layout, create one with the Puff N' Stuff die. By repeating the die four times, you can make a large quatrefoil design on your layout. We love how the soft patterned paper around the edges makes the center image really pop.
SnapFixTip: Use any white space (space that is not heavily patterned) as a place for titles or journaling. Here, Paije used the extra space around the Puff N' Stuff design for letters. You could also use a large expanse of sky, snow or sand in a photo.
2 NEW Grid Collections
and more exciting news...
This weekend is going to be filled with fun NEW things. We have 2 New Grid collections,14 New Winter page kits and we are introducing our BRAND NEW GRID CARDS! Watch for our email this Friday to see all the exciting new releases.
The Quatrefoil Die Set is perfect for accenting a layout and filling in the spaces around your photos. Since the set comes with three different sizes, it fits in on just about any page.
SnapFix Tip: Mix things up a bit, like Paije did in the design above. On some of her quatrefoils, she filled in the dots. On others, she filled in the quatrefoil itself. Remember, variety is the spice of life!
Andrea teaches you to create a hidden pocket for journaling using the Puff N' Stuff die. She also provides a few tips for using the Quatrefoil Die Set. Check it out below.
