Circles
are fun, but since ovals tend to fit our photos better, they are a must. Ovals are perfect for highlighting a few pics. And, Mosaic Moments just released two new sets of oval dies so we have more options than ever before! Keep reading to learn all about them.
Creating an imaginary triangle on the layout by using similar elements is a design trick that moves the eye around the page and creates a well-balanced page. Notice how Paije used the oval dies to frame the main photo and the photos on the bottom corners of the page. Do you see the
imaginary triangle they create?
SnapFixTip: Mix it up ... Paije used the flowers that come with Oval Frame Set to accent the 4x5 Oval Die. Think outside the box and use bits and pieces from all of your die sets to create custom layouts.
The oval dies are perfect for making those special photos stand out on the page. The frame portion gives you an opportunity to add an additional color or a bit of pattern to your layout. And the inset allows you to add a thin strip that helps your photo pop right off the page.
SnapFix Tip: Since 4x6 photos do not fit perfectly on the Grid, the 6-inch side of the photo is not centered on the mat. One solution is to add a decorative border on the bottom like Paije did above. How adorable is that little Herringbone border!?
