It
is often said that "diamonds are a girl's best friend." If that is true, then the Soft Diamond 3x3 die must be a scrapper's best friend! Keep reading to find out why.
On this layout, Paije used the Soft Diamond 3x3 die as her title and journaling
blocks. She added close-up photos of Mexican goods as a background to bring attention to the center of the diamond, emphasizing the words.
SnapFixTip: Mixing up photos, or patterned paper, with solid cardstock brings different elements of the die to the forefront. Putting a photo in the center and solid cardstock in the background would create a look so different, a casual reader would think you used two different dies. Give it a
try!

Page Pattern # 361
Mix It Up
Repitition of a specific detail, like the Soft Diamond, creates a cohesive layout and can help the eye move
around the page. This pinwheel page pattern encourages repitition by providing four 3x3 spaces to work with. Tami mixed things up a little and gave the eye a place to rest by placing solid cardstock inside the Soft Diamond on the bottom photo.
SnapFix Tip: Journaling blocks can be any size or shape. Try using a die with a unique shape as a host for your description.

The Soft Diamond Die reminded Andrea of the decorative Christmas bulbs of the 1950s and 1960s, which inspired her page on Christmas traditions. Click the link below to see how you can add this unique decorative detail to your page.
