Is there a historical site you enjoy visiting? Learn about one of Tami's favorite places on her blog. Here is a peek of her post:
"When I create a page, I often crop photos to fit the grid. Sometimes, the "excess" from images comes in very handy.
After cropping the photo to fit my 3x3 square space, I had enough of it left over to use as "photo mosaic accent pieces" above and below the image in the top left corner. The squares not only fill in the space, the little splash of color also helps to balance out the page."

April's Mosaic Moments Challenge: Photos inspired by Pop Culture from the Decade you were Born
A great place to start is Google - search the decade (ie 1970) combined with the words "pop culture"
Create a Page that is inspired by the events, entertainment, or fashion, etc. of that decade.
I
was born in the 90's and I have several toys that were popular during
this decade. Beanie Babies were very popular during this time, and I
collected them when I was younger. Here are some photography ideas:
- I have many Beanie Babies and I could take photographs of them - do you have a collection from when you were young? Take photographs of it.
- If you have any toys from when you were young, take photographs of them, and take photographs of toys your children (or grandchildren) have today to compare them.
This page features April's Paper Tiles(TM) Trio "Orchid"
See the Design Each Moment Blog to gather ideas on different types of borders. One idea you can create with patten paper and Paper Tiles(TM) is making a weaved border as shown above. Check out Design Each Moment to see how to make this border and other simple border ideas.
The photographs shown on this page are featured in one of Tami's 52 Fridays posts. Check out her post here and see what inspires your future photos.
Mosaic Moments Inspired Photo: Yummy Jelly Beans!
Here is a peek at one of Tami's Mosaic Moments Inspired Photo post from March:
"Jelly Beans, readily available this time of year, make a really great mosaic cut photo subject. :)
The biggest trick is keeping your kids and husband out of the beans while you are trying to take pictures!"

Three Columns with Mosaic Elements
Page Pattern Description: This page consists of three different columns.
First Column: Starting from the top, this column starts with a row of three 1in. squares. Below is a 3.25 in. square with another row of 1in. squares beneath it. On the bottom of this column is a 3.25w x 4.375h block with 1 in. squares underneath it.
Middle Column: The top starts with a 4.375w x 3.25h block with a 4.375w x 5.5h block (which is the main focal point) underneath it. The bottom of this column is made up of two rows of 1 in. squares.
Last Row: This row is similar to the first row. It also has three rows of 1in. squares. The 3.25w x 4.375 is near the top of the column and the 3.25 square block is near the bottom (opposite of the first row).
Page Pattern Featuring this month's Feature Grid Paper: Bahama Blue
"Winter Summerland" supplies used: This page was created using this month's Mosaic Moments(TM) Feature grid paper, Bahama Blue. Ocean Breeze, Grapefruit Bliss and Tangelo Blast Paper Tiles(TM)
were used for matting the photographs and embellishments. A White 2013 Four Square Cornerstone, and pattern paper from Echo Park's "Hello Summer" 6x6 pack were also used as embellishments.
Tip: Here is a close up shot of the 1 in. squares at the bottom of this page (shown below). Can you see the squares that have the ripped sand paper over the blue pattern paper? I decided to put this on here for texture and to give the appearance of sand by the ocean (based on the beach theme). Try this technique with your future pages.
A new pattern is added to the Page Pattern Blog every week. Check out over 80 different patterns!
Featuring Lori's Artist Inspired Page
This month we are featuring Lori's Ansel Adam's inspired page. Lori was very excited about this month's photo challenge. She chose great photographs that were clearly inspired by Ansel Adams. She has several landscape photographs and all of them are black and white, just like Ansel Adam's work. She chose a very nice layout and kept the page simple.
Lori's page is an excellent example on how you can create a page based on a famous artist.
You can check out Lori's post on Journella. Be sure to cheer Lori for her awesome page, and check out the many Mosaic Moments(TM) pages from our other Design Team members.
