Have you ever wondered how we cut out all of these photos? Here is a peek of Tami's process from one of her previous posts:

SanAntonio wb

"Last summer Kevin and I took Alexis with us to San Antonio. The three of us had a great time exploring the city, especially theRiver Walk. I wanted to capture a lot of the things that we saw on onepage - and I knew a quick and easy way to do it.

I used a pattern with 54 squares (Sixteen 2.125 inch squares and thirty-eight 1 inch squares.)"

Challenge

March's Mosaic Moments Challenge is Photos inspired by a Famous Artist

Choose a famous Artist and let him/her inspire the photos you take/use

Do a little research - a great place to start is googleartproject.com

What do you enjoy? Landscapes? Portraits? Bright Colors? Textures? Historical paintings? Modern Art? Impressionist Work?

Create a Page that is inspired by the kind of art thatcatches your eye. You can start posting with the Design Team on March15th

Monet
Claude Monet is a very well known impressionist artist. Here are a few inspirational ideas to help you get started:

  • Monet is most known for many of his landscape paintings. This caninspire you to take photographs of the beautiful landscapes where youlive.
  • Monet used some of his paintings to study light during differenttimes of the day. Go to a particular spot or visit a building you likeand take photographs during different times of the day.
  • Monet often used soft colors in his paintings. Take Pictures with a soft (pastel) color palette.

Be sure to do a lot of research before you begin your page! We hope to see many colorful Mosaic Moment pages posted on Journella.

Mosaic Moments Inspired Photo: Childhood Toys

Here is a peek at one of Tami's Mosaic Moments Inspired Photo post from February:

Stitch in pink cadillac

"The Mosaic Moments Design Team has been busy posting their Disney inspired pagesand I guess I kind of caught the bug. I walked by a shelf where Coledisplays the little cars he's purchased at Disney World. They are suchcute little things and he loves to play with them. Sadly many of thecars are missing. I decided it was a good plan to record what remainsbefore they are lost or broken too.

Mosaic Moments pages are a great way to keep a memory record of sentimental items - like childhood toys."

Page Pattern Featuring this month's Feature Grid Paper: Bamboo

TigerTrek
"Maharajah Jungle Trek" supplies used: This page was created using this month's Mosaic Moments(TM) feature grid paper 12x12 Bamboo. It also uses two of this month's feature Paper Tile(TM) colors, Carob Cream and Almond Cream (chalk inked around the edges). Pattern paper from BasicGrey(TM) was also used on this page.

Tip:Can you tell where the inspiration for this page came from? Along thetrail many of the walls looked distressed (You can see this best on thewall in the center photograph), so I decided to do the same look on thispage as well. When taking photographs, take a look at your surroundingsand see what inspires you for your next page.
