February's Mosaic Moments Challenge is Photos inspired by Walt Disney  

 

Choose a Walt Disney Movie and let it inspire the photos you take/use

Directions: You can choose the general movie theme or one part of the movie (such as the title, a song, a character, or a quote) to use as inspiration for your page. You can start posting on Journella with the design team on February 15th.

Here is an idea for a Walt Disney inspired Mosaic Moments Page:

   One of Disney's well known films is Aladdin. This Disney movie can inspire you to take photos of three wishes you have or three items on a wish list. Take photographs of souvenirs you received from different trips (inspired by the scene where Aladdin and Jasmine travel on the carpet). Or take photos of your best friend (inspired by the song "Friend Like Me")

Embellishing Paper Tiles - Part 1

    

This month on the Design Each Moment Blog I show how to decorate Paper Tiles using different methods. On the left is a picture of how I used a Rub On to create a pattern on a Paper Tile^(TM). The picture on the right shows the end result of decorating a Paper Tile.

"Love" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments^(TM) White 8x8 grid paper. A Medium Peach Paper Tile^(TM) and a Four Square Love Cornerstone were used as embellishments. A BasicGrey^(TM) Rub On, and a blue ribbon with a heart charm were also embellishments placed on this page.

Mosaic Pattern with a Border Strip

  

Page Pattern Description: The top row of this page is made up of three 3.25 x 4.375 blocks with a vertical line of four 1 in. squares. Below this row, on the right, is a 5.5 x 2.125 title or journaling block. To the left is a 4.375w x 5.5h block that overlaps a 12w. x 1h. border strip. The rest of the page consists of 1 in. squares for a mosaic look.

"Nuts Over You" supplies used: This page was created using Mosaic Moments^(TM) 12x12 Sandstone grid paper. This page also features this month's Feature Paper Tiles Trio, Chocolate Covered Strawberry (Chocolate Cream, Cyclamen Pink, Light Pretty Pink). A Squirrel Cornerstone and a White 2011 Four Square Cornerstone (covered with blue chalk ink... see directions here) were used as embellishments. Featuring Heather's Dr. Seuss Inspired Page

This month we are featuring Heather Cartland's page based on Dr. Seuss's The Foot Book.  Heather did a great job incorporating Dr. Seuss's story and colorful whimsy on her page. She used colors, words, and the illustrations onto her layout that were clearly influenced by the book. Her page shows fun personality and it is a great example of using inspiration from Dr. Seuss. Valentine Conversation Squares

 

Valentines is coming up soon so we are featuring our Valentine Conversation Squares Free Download. These are great for a creating a cute page of your loved one. This free printable is also great for creating cards. The word Valentine fits into a Tri-fold card you can make with our RTC grid paper (see directions  on the Design Each Moment Blog).

TIP: See how all of the conversation squares are different colors? I created this by printing the free download on different colors of card stock. You don't always have to print the free downloads on white paper... give other colors a try.
