I have to tell you about this layout—it’s one that’s close to my heart. My daughter and her corgi, Sadie, went on a little summer adventure, just the two of them, exploring trails, snapping selfies, soaking in the sunshine. Later, she turned those sweet moments into this beautiful scrapbook page… and I can’t stop smiling every time I look at it.
Â
She used the Soleil Dies to create that big cheerful circle in the middle. It just feels like summer, doesn’t it? Bright pops of yellow, a little floral whimsy, handwritten notes about their day—and Sadie, of course, hamming it up for the camera like the happy little explorer she is.
Â
It’s pages like this that remind me why I love scrapbooking. Not just for the pretty paper and clever dies (though those are fun!), but because they help us capture the feeling of a moment—the warmth, the joy, the connection.
Â
In today’s email, our design team is sharing more Soleil layouts to inspire
your next sunny story. I think you’re going to love them.
Â
Have a you're-worth-it week!

P.S. I turned off Netflix a few months ago; so, I haven't seen the end of the Cobra Kai series. The 80's girl-nerd in my head is saying, you must see the end - "renew Netflix!" Let me know (without sharing spoilers!)
If you agree with 80's girl.Â
Soleil is great for pattern paper
lovers because you can easily pair different papers together on these sun-shaped layouts. Use papers that come together in a collection, so you know they work well together or mix up patterns and colors that you love. The Soleil dies make a large full page circle shape when you put the die cuts together. You can use that circle to make a frame for your special photos and combining two pattern papers is a great way to do that.Â
Â
Jodi combined a bright yellow polka dot paper with a bold colored floral pattern. They look good together, but they also are different enough to contrast each other and highlight the sun shape of the Soleil die cuts. Soleil is so fun to use with summer photos, and there are many types of colors to add a special summer vibe to your Soleil
pages.Â
Â
Bright and bold colors are always great for summer with the sun-shaped Soleil Dies.

There’s something so nostalgic and joyful
about beach photos—bare feet in the sand, tiny waves rolling in, kids running with buckets and shovels. This layout captures all of that magic, and the Soleil Dies make it shine even brighter.
Â
The circular design instantly draws your eye to the heart of the story—sunny, sandy moments from OBX 2024—and frames them in a playful way that feels
just like a beach day should: fun, carefree, and full of movement. The starfish-print background inside the circle adds a festive touch, while the pops of red and blue mats bring out the colors of those adorable swimsuits and beach toys.
Â
It’s the kind of layout that doesn’t just display your photos—it celebrates them.
If you’ve got summer stories waiting to be told, the Soleil Dies are the perfect way to spotlight your favorite moments. Keep scrolling to see more inspiring ways to use them!

Create Memories that Shine like the Sun With the Soleil die set, you can create a large circle with…
Watch Paije Make a Soleil Layout:
In this YouTube video, Paije demonstrates how to use the Soleil 2x2 dies to make this great layout. You can follow along and make a layout of your own.
You can fill your layout with sun-filled photos all around the full page circle. There are three different sizes of Soleil dies—the 2x6, the 2x3, and the 2x2. Each size fits the grid—meaning it covers the grid lines in each respective
size.Â
Â
With the largest 2x6 Soeil die, you can make die cuts that take up a fourth of the circle. You can either use pattern paper or a very narrow photo. It is the quickest Soleil die to use because of its larger size.Â
Â
The Soleil 2x3 basically cuts the 2x6 Soleil in half, so that you can have two photos in the same area. The photos will still need to be narrow to fit. Your layout will look neat and orderly when the Soleil 2x3 die cuts line up with four photos in the center of your page.Â
Â
The Soleil 2x2 dies give you 12 design spots when you make a full circle on your page. They are a great opportunity for a very mosaic looking layout.
Â
Although all of the sizes of Soleil dies aren't limited to sunny day photos, each Soleil die looks super brilliant on bright summer layouts.
