Adding Journaling to the X Factor Dies

Adding meaningful and substantial journaling to X Factor dies is possible!
Mosaic Moments helps you tell a complete story with photos and journaling space even with the X Factor dies that tend to have many small spaces. You can use the die shapes with larger spaces like the 4x4 or 3x5 sizes to add in your whole story. You can always add a word or two in the smaller X Factor spots all around your layout for short highlights.
Handwriting your journaling is one of the easiest ways to add your story to X Factor layouts, but it's simple to add typed out words too. If you want to know more about how to fit typed journaling in X Factor shapes, scroll down to the articles we have linked.
Additionally, the very photos you choose for your X Factor layouts help tell your story. If you've been with Mosaic Moments for long, you know we are ALL about the photos!
If you want even more tips for journaling and photo selection, look in the X Factor book.

Tips for selecting the best photos to tell your story:
Use photos that show the who, what, when, where, and how of your story.
Determine the theme or narrative and select the photos that fit best.
Use a wide variety of shots like portraits, landscapes, action shots, and close-ups. Try different angles and perspectives too.
Highlight the details with photos you may not normally think to include ie. the terrain below your feet, the sky or tree limbs above you, and other interesting details that add depth, context and character to your story.
Now that you know what photos to use and how you can add journaling, you can take action with X Factor!

Write This: Journaling Prompt for X Factor Dies
"Time at Natural Chimneys" by Paije Potter - Pattern #581
Dies Needed to Create this Look:
X Factor 4x6 , 3x4 & 4x6 Layering (in the X Factor 4x6, 3x4, 2x2 Set)
X Factor 2x4 (in the X Factor 2x4 & 3x4 with Cross
Set)
Double X Factor 2x3 (in the Double X Factor 2x5, 2x3 & 2x2 Set)
Here's a journaling prompt to
encourage you to reflect on your own stories: What was the highlight of your day (week, month, year, trip or story), and how did you feel about it?
Steps to Telling Your Story on an X Factor Layout:
Use the prompt above to create your next X Factor layout.
Select your theme or the story you want to tell.
Determine your X Factor pattern or layout and specific dies.
Choose the photos that will help tell your story.
Decide where they will go on your layout and where your journaling will be.
Put your layout together and then add your written story describing the best photo, moment of the day, or thing you saw on your trip and how you felt about it.
This is a great prompt for an "All About Me" layout even if you haven't gone anywhere interesting lately. Use recent photos of yourself and frame the best one in a large focal photo in a framed 4x6 X Factor die cut.
If you don't have any X Factor dies yet, don't worry! You will be able to get them to complete this prompt on May 15th after the Die Drop! Be sure to mark your calendar.
