"I too found it all intimidating when I began. Easiest to start with is using the basic and the level 1 dies. My first solo attempt I had a hard time with sizes of which covered the grid and what didn't. I called MM and their customer service was very helpful and patient with my questions. After the phone call it clicked and
I made my first page. It did take a long time. But over time it gets easier and faster. MM requires a lot of thinking before beginning. What dies? What pictures? grid color? paper? But then it all comes together and the layouts always look great. The books and the pattern gallery are helpful."

Smooth Sailing
"It takes time to adjust. I "got it" fairly quickly, my friend
took a little longer. My biggest hurdle looking back was learning to take my pictures differently so I had more choices. Once I did that, smooth sailing."
- Karen
The More You Do, the Faster They Go
"I found Volume 1 book to be very helpful and used mostly the A-E basic dies when I started. I also went to mosaicmoments.com website and selected # of design spots = 1-9. This gave me some great simpler layout ideas. It does take time at the beginning, but the more layouts you do, the faster they go."
- Linda
Watch Videos
"If I’m using a die set from levels 1-3, I find it helpful to look at sample videos done by mm admin of the die set I want to use. Once I watch the video I get a better understanding of how to use it."

Give Yourself Time and Patience
"It took me a while to become comfortable also. All
of the tips here are wonderful. I start with the photos I want to fit on a page and then I head to the pattern gallery. I use the category that best meets my need…#of design spots for a lot of pics, rows for mostly horizontal pics, or columns for mostly vertical. The only other thing I can add is buying a photo printer. They are not cheap, but mine completely changed how easy it was to use MM. I can print many different size pics which helps me fit many on a
page."
"Give yourself time and patience. You will love MM!"
