Jodi's family encouraged their wanderlust with a weekend hike in Grayson Highlands in Virginia and discovered a friendly herd of wild ponies.
This was perfect for the Frontier Die to frame the beautiful scene. Jodi framed the ponies against the backdrop of the dark green pine forest and vibrant green meadow.
It appears she cut one large photo for the Frontier Die, but she actually used two photos. The Frontier die's grid size is 4x6 which means the actual size is 4.375x6.625 inches. So, she printed one vertical photo twice to crop the right and left landscape and one photo she printed to frame the ponies in the center diamond. She aligned the horizons so they look
like one complete photo when cropped with the die. She added dotted pattern paper to the small inside triangles of the die and two large 2x4 (actual size is 2.125x4.375 inches) floral pieces on the right and left of the Frontier die on the layout. This die is wonderful for your wild and rustic outdoor photos.
Frame your weekend adventures with the Frontier die - it is in these moments, surrounded by nature's untouched magnificence, that you can find solace, inspiration, and a profound connection to the world around you... and possibly wild ponies!
Scrapping with the filmstrip die is so much fun! Fresh colors, patterns and multiple photos make this…
Weekend Trip with the Box Kite Die
"Lynchburg 2022" by Paije Potter - Pattern #914
A quick weekend getaway to
explore a new city or interesting country town might be just what you need.
Kevin and Tami took a trip to the Blue Ridge Mountain city of Lynchburg, Virginia. They spent time enjoying Main street, exploring the shops, and seeing the sites in the area. Paije (designer of layout) placed most of the town
photos on the outside edges of her layout in 2x2 design spots. The tree-filled and outdoor photos were cropped with the 2x3 Box Kite die in the center of her layout. She stacked five rows of theBox Kite cuts and positioned her photos, so they are lined up diagonally as you look down the page.
She sandwiched the outdoor pics with shots of graffiti on a cement wall and used it to place her title, Lynchburg Virginia, with a heart. Paije used the 12x12 Brick grid paper from the Weekend Collection to remember all of the brick buildings in this stunning historic Blue Ridge town.
Don't forget to take photos of your delicious meals, sweet treats, historic monuments, wooded trails, flowing waterfalls, large bridges, and the much loved people that you bring along with you on your weekend trip because they all might just fit on a one page layout with the Box Kite Dies!
Jodi's family heeded the
call, then she made this outdoor adventure layout featuring the Chic die. She was able to add multiple photos of the natural beauty found at Logan Canyon in Utah. Jodi carefully arranged her photos, highlighting the stunning natural beauty of the area in three of her medium sized corners of the Chic die.
She created an eye catching design in the center of her page by filling the corners of the die that meet in the center of the layout with a floral pattern paper. In the smallest design sections of the die, she placed photos of the sky so it looks like the whole Chic layout is resting on one large sky photo.
Jodi's outdoor adventure layout, featuring the Chic die, truly captures the essence of Logan Canyon and serves as a reminder that the great outdoors is ready and waiting to be explored.
