Thank you so much for choosing to preserve your memories with Mosaic Moments. Your support means a great deal to me and all of the team members at Wish in the Wind.

The Mosaic Moments Design Team created several holiday pages included in this email (see them below). I hope they will spark helpful inspiration, as you create your own holiday pages, this season.

Christmas Arches
"A Traditional Christmas" by Jodi Benson
Arches are a great compliment to holiday photos because they add a little more emphasis and weight.
Jodi used the 4x6 Arch for her focal photo with Santa. She used a beautiful Christmas floral pattern paper for the 4x6 frame, and grey card-stock for the Arch frame layer. The close-up photos of the traditional fruit and berry decorations are such a nice touch.
Be sure to take lots of detail shots this season, to get a layout that looks similar to Jodi's.
Here is the full 2 page layout Jodi created with the Arch dies.
The first page has two 3x5 Arches with the same floral pattern paper as the 4x6 Arch on the right. (The 3x5 Arches do not have an arch layer like the 4x6 set, but the Arches Die Set come with the 3x5 Arch and a 2x3 Arch). One thing to keep in mind about Jodi's layout, and your own layouts, is where you place similar photos. You can see above that Jodi filled her Arches with similar shots, and set them across
from each other on her page.
That technique creates balance and helps move your eye around the page.
This cute Christmas morning layout is made with only the Basic Die Bundle!
We love to show these "simple" layouts because they never look beginner or boring. Anyone can easily create a similar page no matter what you feel your skill level is, and your layout will look fun, fresh, and professionally designed.
Even these joyful, chaotic gift unwrapping photos look so good with this basic layout.
Here is Paije's full two page spread.
See how creating the borders of patterned paper on either sides of her pages make the two pages cohesive and add special interest. Altogether, she used 4 different patterned papers, but she made sure they all coordinated so it doesn't look jarring or overdone.
You can learn how to create this layout in our video on youtube.
This was a great idea for Lauren's layout because she chose colors and patterned paper that match the blue in her family's clothes. The Christmas Tree mosaics emphasize that this is a Christmas layout. The Shimmer grid paper gives this layout an extra special Christmas glow as well.
See below for the full two page spread.
Be creative with the colors of your holiday layouts - they don't have to be limited to red and green!
It's so cute to see how the plaid pattern paper matches the family's plaid shirts. Plus, the whole layout was made with the Basic Die Bundle which is pretty impressive. The Colored Basic Die Bundle comes with the MM 1x1" Grid die which makes cutting those mosaic 1x1 squares so quick and easy.
We love adding mosaics wherever we can, and Christmas has so many opportunities to make great ones.
We love how the Charmed Die makes your Christmas photos look like they are layered.
The way Paije chose to fill her Charmed dies is photo art. She used a similar berry and greenery photo to fill the circles either side of her focal photo and put two different interesting photos in the centers of her two Going in Circles dies.
The Charmed Dies give you so many different options. How will you fill yours?
The full layout looks so amazing - don't you love the brown card-stock outline of the dies?
To keep her pages in harmony, Paije filled the four 'Going in Circles' die on the second page, just like she did in the first page. The outside design spots have that berry and greenery photos and the smallest crevices have the red patterned paper that mimics the brick walk ways.
Remember to use good Mosaic Moments photo habits to create a layout with these dies. You'll need vertical and horizontal photos, as well as photos from far away, to fit in the dies' design spots properly.
The Holly Borders Die helps you add a little Christmas Holly to your holiday pages.
You can use the die to create borders and strips, or just use the berries and leaves to add a small festive Christmas greenery embellishment. Jodi used the 1x3 strips, and filled her die with bright red and green, berries and leaves.
Here is Jodi's full Holiday layout.
To create interest, she switched the die up and used the 1x4 Holly Borders strip vertically on the second page; however, she filled them with the same colors to make the pages cohesive. Remember, if you are struggling to fill the design spots on your pattern (because you were having so much fun, and weren't able to take more photos), you can use a bit of patterned paper to fill those extra
spots!
Jodi made this Christmas Town layout look so fun and Holly-jolly!
The 12x12 Shimmer grid paper makes every layout better and brighter.
Dazzle your scrapbooking friends and your family with a holiday layout with one of the Shimmer colors - Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Pearl. Paije shows us how a simple trip to get a cupcake during the holidays can look like the most fancy Christmas dining experience on 12x12 Platinum. On the second page she placed a golden ornament swirl die with a fun patterned paper background, and continued the mosaic from a
close up photo of the Christmas tree.
Don't forget to take a shot of your Christmas cupcakes before you eat them!
The Horizon Die sets can be your new Christmas layout staple.
That gorgeous circle can highlight everything you love about the holidays. Paije placed her main photo in the 4x6 center, and layered a candy cane patterned paper mat with a white mat (cut with the the Layering Die Bundle). We love the extra snowflakes and gem embellishments on the bottom right corner of the mat.
Paije added an outline around her horizon cut circle. In fact, she used the same technique on both sides of her two page spread.
To create the outline, cut each horizon die with two different papers. Paije used blue card-stock and a modern Christmas tree paper. Next, trim your photos (cut with the Horizon dies) down 1/8th" on the straight edges. If you would like to learn more about this technique watch our video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jD69yEytNkg
Christmas is the time for the sparkle, soo... don't be afraid to add some glitter!
